One of the reasons for the delay until 19.15 this evening in reopening the A83, following a serious road traffic accident at lunchtime today, 28th February, at Strone point, north of Inveraray, has emerged from some of those who spent long hours in a Glasgow – Campbeltown bus trapped in the jammed traffic.
The road could not reopen until the arrival of a road sweeper to clear it of broken glass.
The road sweeper had to come – from Hamilton in South Lanarkshire.
